About Me

I'm 27 years old and graduated from Bucknell University (C/O 2021) with a BSc Hons in Animal Behavior and a minor in Anthropology. I am currently getting my Master's of Science in Animal Behavior and Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania. I hope to study anthrozoology with a focus on film and media studies. I was diagnosed with autism in 2021 and later self-diagnosed for ADHD and OCD.I would generally label myself transmasculine agender and aroace (aromantic/asexual). But like most things it's more complicated than that. More on that here.

Hobbies

I have A LOT of hobbies. Maybe too many.

  • I have recently been getting into naturalism, herbalism, and foraging.

  • I LOVE horror movies, but just film in general.

  • I like video games, especially open world RPGs and builder/management sims. I hate horror games though.

  • I run and play in TTRPGs, especially D&D 5(.5)e.

  • I knit and crochet. Sewing is the next frontier.

  • I like conlangs! I have none worth sharing, but I like doing it!

  • I used to play piano and saxophone and would love to get back to them someday.

  • I like video editing! I don't do it often but I feel like I get better each time.

Black n' queer

Gender

So that whole gender thing, huh? Very complicated. Like I said before, ultimately I would say I am agender and transmasculine, but there's always more than that. People love making smaller and smaller categories for topics. I ultimately have an indifference towards being gendered, but even then that is an intentional gender in its own way! I find that my experiences being Black, neurodivergent, and considered female from birth to age 15 has affected my gender identity and presentation. Nothing exists in a vacuum, not even gender.

Sexuality/Romantic Attraction

Similarly with my attraction to others. I am at best queerplatonic, but generally I would consider myself aromantic and asexual. Wouldn't mind holding hands or kissing, but I wouldn't call it romance. I love Love for other people, because I want everyone to be happy in some way, and I know that everyone has their own forms of happiness. Mine isn't really related to direct romantic or sexual experiences. I'm attracted to folks, but wouldn't go so far as to do anything past hugs, y'know?I get "crushes" or squishes. For real people I just wanna hang out with them more. For fictional characters, it really just feels like putting up a poster and staring at it while sighing fondly.
